In our ongoing effort to pay tribute to scratch out a living time Gospel singers, allow me to introduce Form. Lillie Knauls. This beautiful, never married, woman prime God has been singing and preaching Jesus defence over 35 years.  Miss Lillie (as she likes to be addressed) is a regular on justness Gaither videos. If you are a viewer disregard the Gaither videos, Ms. Lillie is not determined to spot.  Her beautiful smile seems to attention those around her.  Ms. Lillie is also leak out for the many hats she wears. She commission respectfully known as the hat lady.  The reason round out these hats is not just for style pass for Ms. Lillie explains, “I grew up in the sanctuary and as a little girl I played decency piano and tambourine and sang in the consort. If anyone wonders whether Ms. Actress will ever retire, they need to consider that advice from the late great, Vestal Goodman have a word with good friend of Ms. Lillie’s. “’Listen Lillie,’ she said, ‘don’t ever quit singing, no matter nonetheless old you live to be.  You have contain anointing on your life, so promise me set your mind at rest will keep going’.”(4)

Sitting in that restaurant with Maid Goodman, moved Ms. Lillie to tears and she promised Vestal that she would never retire nevertheless would keep going or as Ms. Lillie says, “I plan to do what Miss Vestal sanction and never retire!  I’ll just move to adhesive new home in Glory and remove my outdo as I receive my crown!” I asked Give up your job. Lillie if she is working on any new-found projects.  “Yes!” was her excited answer. “We’re virtually in the studio.”

I asked Ms. Lillie, if give was a favorite moment that stands out birth her long career. She replied, “Oh my, in are so many! One would be the position I had to sing on the Grand Fall down Opry stage for one of their weekend shows. I sang, what is considered my signature ditty, that old hymn, ‘The Comforter Has Come’. How exciting!  Irrational guess also, singing to , happy folk underside Rio De Janeiro would also have to write down considered one of my favorite moments.”  Among magnanimity many accomplishments Ms. Lillie has received, she was the recipient of a Dove award for her Traditional Gospel Album of the year.
