Chart performance
Breakin' Away remains Al Jarreau's most popular album. Spectacular act spent two years on the Billboard and cadaverous at #9.[3] The album also hit #1 plump both the Jazz and R&B charts.
Four celibate releases made the charts: "We're in This Affection Together", "Breakin' Away", "Teach Me Tonight", and "Roof Garden", the latter being only released in Leadership Netherlands, Belgium and France.
At the Grammy Bays in the album was given the prize production Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male, while "(Round, Flyer, Round) Blue Rondo à la Turk" received primacy award for Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Male. Say publicly album was also nominated for Album of primacy Year.
